How Tickets Work
Timed-entry windows
The operator sells tickets in 15-minute entry windows. Your QR code shows a date and a start time—for example, “14:00–14:15.” You can arrive any time within that window, but once it closes the turnstile will reject the code. In practice the operator usually allows a 10-minute grace period, but that is not guaranteed and during peak hours the scanners enforce the window strictly.
Mobile QR e-tickets
After purchase you receive a QR code by email. Save it to your phone’s wallet or screenshot it. At the ground-floor lobby you hold the code under a turnstile scanner; the gate opens and you join the lift queue. No paper printout is needed. If your phone dies, the guest-services desk can look up your booking by the email address used at checkout, but the process takes five to ten minutes and you may miss your window.
Why sunset slots sell out
Sunset at 346 m is a different experience from sunset at ground level: the horizon drops, the city lights switch on below you, and on clear evenings the sky turns orange for nearly twenty minutes. The operator knows this and prices sunset windows at a premium during summer. July and August sunset slots can sell out three to four weeks in advance. If sunset is important to you, book as early as possible or consider a weekday visit in September when demand drops sharply.
Dining reservations and included access
A reservation at the revolving restaurant includes main-deck observation access at no additional charge. When you arrive, check in at the restaurant’s dedicated lobby rather than the general admission queue. The host will scan your dining confirmation and direct you to the restaurant lift. After dinner, you can descend to the main deck and the glass floor using the internal staircase and stay as long as you like. This is often the most efficient way to visit if you plan to eat dinner anyway.
Upper pod and harness walk add-ons
Access to the upper pod at 447 m is sold as an add-on to the main-deck ticket. You can purchase it at the time of booking or upgrade at the kiosk on the main deck if space remains. The outdoor harness walk is booked separately and has its own check-in process on the main deck. Walk bookings include main-deck access but not upper-pod access.
Refunds and rescheduling
Policies vary by ticket tier. Most standard e-tickets can be rescheduled once, at least 24 hours before the original window, through the confirmation email link. Refunds are generally issued only when the operator cancels due to weather or mechanical issues. Third-party resellers have their own refund terms, which are often more restrictive. Always read the fine print before purchasing from a site you do not recognise.
